One of six roundtable discussions featured at the NH Food Alliance's 2021 NH Food System Statewide Gathering, "Promote Racial Equity in Our Food System," aimed to help participants assess where they and/or their organization are in understanding and centering racial equity.
The roundtable facilitators, Jennifer Wilhelm, NH Food Alliance; Hanna Flanders, Kearsarge Food Hub; Becky Colpitts, Littleton Food Co-op; and Jermaine Moore, The Mars Hill Group created a safe space for participants to envision and take action in building an inclusive local food system that actively strengthens the role of people of color at every link in the food chain from field to fork.
The group ended their discussion with a call to action: Participate in Food Solution New England's 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge, April 5-25. Join the NH Food Alliance's Racial Equity Team and help create open space for micro-learning opportunities. Or find a Thought Partner, a powerful tool to help unpack racial equity work.
