On February 4, the NH Food Alliance (NHFA) hosted "Galvanizing Around Grant Season: Putting food system funding to work in New Hampshire," as part of its 2022 Network Cafe Series. Network members, stakeholders, and potential collaborators from across the food system came together during the cafe to discuss the funding options available in 2022. Following a brief overview of grants and funding sources, participants joined various breakout groups to network around specific grants or project areas, including climate resiliency, the USDA's Local Food Purchase Assistance Program, and the CDFA tax credit funding, with the goal of spearheading collaborative grant applications and brainstorming alternate sources of funding for project ideas.
This Network Cafe was not recorded. Please find general notes and brainstorm notes from both the overview and the breakout discussion on a Miro board HERE. If you are interested in learning more about a specific grant program, access NHFA's grant roundup HERE.
The NH Food Alliance plans to host a grant-focused network cafe each year. As a follow up to this year's cafe, the NH Food Alliance will create a grant tracking document that not only provides application details and deadlines, but also tracks applied and awarded grant projects for the year. The tracker would live as resource for future grant applicants and can provide the NHFA network with a tool to support stronger, collaborative project ideas and applications. Please fill out the form below if you are applying for grant funding and would like your project and contact information to be a resource for the NHFA grant tracker.
