"Michelle LeMay always dreamed of starting a charitable organization to help others. It’s a value she is passing on to her four children. Here’s proof: last year her son Beau decided he didn’t want gifts for his birthday. Instead, they set up a big, empty gumball machine and asked people to donate money for Gather. LeMay Family Goodworks, Michelle’s nonprofit for giving, would make a matching gift. That generous act raised a total of $1,800.
“Beau took the morning off from school and we went in to Gather to deliver the money. He saw the food on the shelves, and it became his favorite place,” Michelle says, adding, “My driving force is to teach my children to live a life of generosity.”"
