Below is an important message about summer meals in New Hampshire from the NH Department of Health and Human Services and the NH Department of Education.

It is important to mention that hunger doesn't take a summer break for everyone.  For many kids and their families who rely on healthy meals during the school day, not having access to these foods can be worrisome.  Luckily, summer nutrition programs like the USDA's Summer Food Service Program, rebranded within the SUN Programs, are available during the summer months when kids are out of school. This federal program is administered by the NH Department of Education and it relies on its sponsors (non-profit organizations, schools, faith-based organizations, etc.) to implement the program.  Sponsor organizations across the state aim to alleviate the concern for families by offering breakfast, lunch, bulk or to- go meals at various locations throughout the summer.  The summer feeding program offers free, nutritious meals to all kids ages 0 to 18 years of age with no application or other information needed.

To locate a site near you, search the USDA Summer Meals Site Finder or text on your phone “FOOD” to 304-304 to receive a text back for open site locations near you.

SFSP sponsor pages have more details about the sites they administer.  A few of the larger sponsor webpages are listed below.
