The NH Eats Local Team connects Granite Staters to New Hampshire agriculture and inspires them to support their local farmers, fishermen, and food producers. The team accomplishes this by telling the stories of our food system through collaborative public relations efforts, aligning on “eat local” messaging and shared content, providing educational opportunities, and hosting events.
Each year, the NH Eats Local Team does the following:
- Hosts at least one food system communications-related session at the NH Food System Statewide Gathering
- Acts as the planning and implementation team for NH Eats Local Month
- Build and maintain a shared media contact list for NHFA network partners to utilize
- Build relationships with local reporters and media outlets by pitching collaborative stories or sending press releases about food system news at least 3 times each year
- Maintains and promotes the shared NH Eats Local Marketing and Events Calendar
During team meetings, we:
- Share statewide and regional events and communications initiatives related to food in New Hampshire and New England
- Share communications-related resources and learning
- Plan and strategize for communications-related session(s) at the NH Food System Statewide Gathering
- Collaborate to plan and implement NH Eats Local Month
- Identify food system initiatives, events, or collaborations to highlight in a press release or pitch to New Hampshire media outlets.
Please note that this team is intended for communications professionals or individuals within an organization that have communications responsibilities as part of their role.
