During National Hunger Action Month in September, NOFA-NH is raising funds for its 2022 Farm Share Program, which helps limited-income NH residents access certified organic CSA shares. Support by participating in Share the Bounty Day on September 19; dine in, take out, or shop with the Kearsarge Food Hub, Revival Kitchen & Bar, The Works Café, and Warner Public Market. If your student is enrolled in the NSLP, you are eligible for P-EBT. This program provides families additional nutritional benefits to offset the cost of meals students ate at home during the COVID-19 pandemic that they would normally have eaten at school. Over the past several years there has been a rapidly increasing focus on agriculture as a climate solution. Three scientific societies are uniquely positioned at the interface of climate, agriculture, and the environment: the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and the Soil Science Society of America. They released a statement, Advancing Resilient Agriculture: Recommendations to Address Climate Change, this week.
