Mt. Washington Valley Eaters and Growers (MWVEG) are in search of support for steering the organization. Time commitment is as much as you want it to be, with an average of 2 informal meetings a month, November thru May. This is an opportunity to share your ideas and input, helping to advocate for the local-food movement, along with the opportunity to take part in events or fundraisers as your time allows. This work can’t be done without people like you. Their most current needs are for board members, and a membership coordinator to help with communications among members and community, but any interested volunteers are greatly valued.

MWVEG is made up of both farmers and farm supporters. We produce the MWV Farm Guide (digital and print), publish articles in VIBE magazine on hot-topic local food and agriculture issues, and work one on one with farmers to support their outreach and communication needs. We make sure consumers in this valley have a up to date resources identifying local farms, markets, farm goods, and businesses that grow or source locally. What’s more, we make local food accessible to all, with the Food For All program, assisting lower-income households to purchase local food.
