Food Policy Council Climate Action Toolkit

This toolkit can help food policy councils from the midwest and other regions of the United States, and their communities. It is designed to help councils and food networks, along with their stakeholders, achieve the following:

• Provide food policy councils with the support to educate and inspire their local community and legislators on the intersection of food and climate
• Expand and strengthen opportunities for sustainability integration and education within FPC work plans and activities
• Understand some of the basics of climate change
• Provide easily digestible examples of climate action within food systems

The toolkit provides discussion of topics relevant to understanding, supporting, and engaging stakeholders; and tools, strategies, and examples of curriculum and policies focused on climate action within the food system. read more
