"When Tuckaway Tavern first opened its doors in 2012, it was with a commitment to give back to the community. Give back. The phrase has been used so often that it doesn’t always carry the weight it should. Weight like this: in October of last year, Tuckaway donated 400 pounds of bulk packaged beef to Gather’s Cooking 4 Community program. Before that, their June donation was used to make 24 Greek salads, 28 Southwest pasta salads, 33 chicken chili dishes, 59 chicken salads, 67 marinated boneless pork strip dinners (including rice, carrots, ginger), 40 Asian marinated chicken dinners (including potatoes and peas), 66 chicken and rice soups, and 80 pasta dishes with meat sauce."
